Rowen's photo shoot

See she really does know how to smile!!

Christmas Tree Hunting

Rowen and Avery sitting on a stump. Yes, our daughter looks like a boy because she has no hair and is wearing a carhartt coat. Her father can take credit for both of those!
TWINS!!
Rowen posing for a picture but of course no smiles.
Ryan, Avery, Rachel and Campbell Allred; Paul and Courtney Caswell (little one on the way) and the Millers plus Guster

Sawyer's first hike

This is Sawyer and I, yeah she is under my coat. My sister-in-law bought me the coolest coat that has an extension piece which allows you to carry the baby under the coat. It also has a hole in the back so that you can wear your baby on your back and still have them under your coat! Such a cool invention!
This is Rowen hiking on her own. She walked looking straight down at all of the things on the ground, we had some close calls because she wasn't watching where she was going. But all in all she did quite well.
This coat does not have the most slimming profile!! Sawyer slept the whole time we were gone, she likes it in her little cocoon.
Rowen refuses to smile for the camera. I promise she was having fun!
One of the waterfalls along the way.

Cousin Tali and Aunt Ginny came to visit for a few days (Uncle Trevin came too but of course they went fishing). I miss Aunt Ginny's burping abilities and how helpful it is to have an extra set of hands!! Sawyer did not cooperate for this picture.
I'm sad to say Sawyer's hair is falling out!
Aunt Ginny made Sawyer a matching cupcake hat. Yes that is baby puke and that may be why Rowen has such a huge frown.

Rowen posing while she is supposed to be a time out.

Outside

She is not very happy about coming inside.

This is Rowen begging at the garden for tomatoes or strawberries. She does not understand that they don't come year round.
Still begging!
This is Rowen standing at the gate to our dead garden.
Rowen and her best bud Guster

Pumpkin Carving

So I'm posting pumpkin carving pictures in the middle of November-- just a little behind these days!  This is Rowen not really sure if she should be happy about the fact that her papa just cut a hole in the pumpkin she had been carrying around for the last hour.
This is her face as she felt the gooey insides, she loved it! She pulled out all of the seeds and said MORE. So Russ let her clean out his pumpkin too.
This is her working really hard to get all of the seeds off the bottom of the pumpkin. Surprisingly none of the seeds went in her mouth, what a miracle!
This is Rowen kissing her pumpkin.
Papa and Rowen with their carved pumpkins. She was so proud of her pumpkin and would not take her eyes off of it to look at me!

Sleeping babies are great!

I forget how much newborns sleep. What a huge blessing!
Sawyer wearing her cowboy shirt and snoozing in her bouncy seat.

She loves to be bundled but if you don't do it just right she will wake up.

Rowen Update

Rowen had a ton of fun while Grammy was here (for those of you who don't know my mom visited for a month) that I'm not even sure she realized we were gone when we were at the hospital.  This is her having a tea party with Grammy. My mom said she drank out of every cup!

This is Rowen attempting to ride her trike. She almost has it figured out.
This is Rowen after Grammy gave her blue gatorade which if any of you were wondering does in fact turn your poop a weird color!!
This is Rowen talking on her fake cell phone. She has like fifteen minute conversations in an unknown language!!
Rowen eating a tomato. Notice her pigtails- we are so proud!!

Sawyer and Rowen

Rowen, Sawyer, and a really scary picture of me!
Grammy and Sawyer
Papa and his girls
This is the first time Rowen saw Sawyer. As soon as she saw her she said "Sissy!" Rowen can't get enough of Sawyer and is fairly gentle with her most of the time.
This is right before we got to take her home for the first time. Sawyer was a week old!

Sawyer Marilee Miller

Yes she is here and yes I finally posted some pictures of her on our blog! Sorry to those of you that have not seen any pics yet. And for some reason the pictures posted in opposite order and I didn't feel like reloading them- sorry!
This is a picture of Sawyer in the NICU with a nasal cannula giving her oxygen.
This is sawyer right after she went to the nicu and when I saw her for the first time.
This is right after she was born with a not so good oxygen saturation.
proud parents!

For the Love of FOOD

Rowen got in a little fight with her spaghetti!
This is Rowen eating a roma tomato from Russ's garden. She ate the whole thing!
Of course before she ate it she had to pretend that it was a phone. Checkout the huge tumor in the background, yes that is my belly!
She is definitely a girl and knows how to blab on the phone.
